TRANSPORTATION
Fees 2026–2027
September 2026, fees to ride the Yellow bus to school will increase as part of a three-year plan to phase in transportation fee increases. This fee increase started in 2025 and was the first in 3 to be implemented.
-
Yellow bus fees will be $70 per month
The costs to operate buses and hire drivers have been increasing, and student enrolment is growing. The Division also expects less overall funding from the province in the coming years because of changes to who is eligible for transportation. To provide the level of service students and families expect and rely on, the Division has had to make the difficult decision to increase bus fees.
Applying for yellow bus service
Whether your child is new to yellow bus service or a current rider, you need to apply for yellow bus service each school year. If you have more than one child who needs yellow bus service, you will need to apply for each child.
Although the deadline to apply for yellow bus service was June 1st to make sure your child receives service on the first day of school, you can always apply for bus service throughout the year as needed.
